Increasingly Google is moving away from giving keywords top priority when it comes to ranking signals and is instead giving preference to the user experience. Google has really focused its algorithm on providing relevant content in search. They want to improve the user experience y providing the most relevant search results for the query or question being asked. This means that while you can have great backlinks, you still need to also have great content. Take a look at your top ranking and
most shared content. Is there overlap? If you’ve found a type of
content that is simultaneously strong in search and frequently shared,
it’s worth optimizing that content even further. Whereas a
page's title may be a few words or a phrase, a page's description meta
tag might be a sentence or two or a short paragraph.
Keyword at the Beginning of URL
Google counts links from other websites as votes. So, when they’re presented with two (or more) pages on the same topic, the page with the most links (i.e. votes) will usually rank higher than the page(s) with fewer links. Search engine results
are in a constant state of flux as rankings for individual pages and sites go up and down, outdated content fades and new pages are published. That means you'll probably notice a normal ebb and flow in your site rankings, especially if you're lower down in the results. All the content you produce should be tailored to your target customer / audience. If you submit posts with very little content and a load of popular search terms, you’re likely to be found out. The well-publicised Panda and Penguin updates have had a significant (and in my view, positive) impact on the discipline of SEO.
Everybody wants to push their brand name
If you want to rank in Google you have to make sure that you’re using the right keywords for every page. One of the biggest mistakes I frequently encounter is that site owners are optimizing for too generic keywords. When you architect
a website and you place SEO at the forefront of a web project, you’re doing two things simultaneously. You’re making sure your website will be usable by search engines and your actual website visitors. I’m sure you don’t need me to tell you that analyzing the link profiles of your competitors is one of the best ways to find backlink opportunities for your website. External, or outbound, links indicate that you are well aware of the topics you’re writing about, to the extent that you’re ready to use further sources to support your content. It’s more useful to link to reputable sources, as these links have bigger credibility.

Gone are the days when you have to mention exact keyword phrases a specific number of times at a certain frequency. Website Optimization is
about more than just making a page easier for users to browse through and navigate. There are also several things a website manager can do to optimize the website for their own devices. As smart and sophisticated as search engines have become, they still understand one thing above all else: content. Content is unique, original material you create and publish on your site. As you create content for your website, link to other pages on your site within your content. Use anchor text that uses the page’s target keywords or phrases that explain what the page is about.
