Brand mentions and co-citations are also very important to Google, in determining the quality and usefulness of a particular web page. One of the biggest challenges websites face today when trying to bring in and retain customers is the user experience on the site. You shouldn’t only target 1 keyword, even if you have a very small budget or think that 1 keyword covers everything that you do or sell. This is a mistake because unless it’s a highly searched for keyword, and if it is then the competition to rank well for it will be fierce and getting your site in the top positions for it very difficult, then ranking for that 1 keyword won’t attract enough visitors to your site. Understanding and recognizing how PageRank flows can make a difference in your SEO campaigns. The difference in many cases will be small, but in a competitive environment, every advantage counts.
What is duplicate content?
Ideally page titles should include the search term for which the website has been optimized. Company blogs have
been proven again and again to do wonders for businesses. Among other things, having a company blog will improve your SEO and allows you to become seen as an expert in your field. Keyword research is a critical component of SEO. What search terms do people use when searching for products or services similar to yours? How do those terms match up with your site hierarchy? Make a list of the keywords for
which you want to rank highly. Does the content you share on social media
and your blog cover those keywords? Zero in on one or two of your most
desirable keywords and find ways to make content under those keywords
more shareable.
Keywords vs. Topics vs. Relationships
Quality is always important when producing new content, but it’s the SEO that can boost your efforts of reaching a target audience. If your content
is consistently very short and not original the Google algorithm is likely to consider the site low-quality. Internal links help Google establish site architecture and relative intra-site importance of webpages. For this reason, you should have internal links both on a site-wide & on-page, in-content basis. The actual number of internal links per page will vary & depend on the utility offered to users (once again). Inbound links pointing from other websites to your website are critical to establish the credibility of your business in Google’s eyes.
Go great or go home
While there are a ton of great SEO companies out there providing valuable work and helping companies to reach new heights in terms of their exposure and profits, the unfortunate fact of the matter is that there are probably more not so great SEO companies. Everyone is familiar with the expression “content is king.” Without rich content, you will
find it difficult to achieve good rankings with specific keywords and to direct traffic to your
website. Of all the channels we’ll be discussing, SEO is the one that there is the most misinformation about. Some of it is subtle, but some of it is widely spread and believed by so-called SEO consultants who actually don’t know what they’re doing. Gaz Hall, a
Freelance SEO Consultant, commented: "The biggest SEO mistake you can make during a website redesign is to not think about SEO until it’s too late. If you don’t have SEO in mind from the initial strategy session, you’re going to lose what you took so much time and effort to build. "
Videos and images are page content too
Are you worried that your aesthetically appealing website is not getting you the right amount of traffic? Does it bother you that all the money you spent on developing a very creative website is going waste. Is your online business so vast that you are having trouble maintaining your site and the beautifully designed structures have all gone haywire as your business developed? As we all
know, Google change their algorithm 500+ times a year, and these are the small tweaks to make user experience and results better, and these are largely unconfirmed. Then come the larger, more drastic algorithmic changes that sometimes cause a stir in the SEO industry, mainly due client sites being negatively impacted. A better average time on your website leads to a lower bounce rate and a greater user experience. Make the navigation through your website as smooth as possible. Keep in mind that you must write for your readers, and not for Google’s spiders. Don’t do keyword stuffing.
